I gather the energy of the life that pulses through the Earth, freely expressing my feelings through my watercolors exactly as I experience them.

Miyako Nishio completed her graduate studies at the Hiroshima City University Faculty of Arts. During her university years, she was actively involved in creative work, including creating animations that were screened worldwide. After graduation, she joined Nintendo Co., Ltd., where she worked as a UI designer. She left the company after getting married and moved to Sendai. Inspired by a simple desire to "put a painting onto a piece of cloth," she began by making handkerchiefs, which evolved into her current work at miyaco nishio.

Living amidst nature, I capture the essence of living beings such as flowers, plants, birds, and butterflies—their contours tangible.

The cells forming them, the intangible light and particles eluding recognition as a shape.

Gathering the energy of life pulsating through the Earth, I freely express my emotions through watercolor, painting what I feel in the moment.
